A thought when reading any of Todd Young’s poems came a few minutes ago when reading something about Elizabeth Bishop’s poems like her poem, “Filling Station.” Todd Young’s poems often render emotional states by seeming merely to account for the surface of things. Something to think about when reading, “An Easy Death,” a not so simple simplicity.
